Regional Prediction
Explorer
Example Region: Australia
This page demonstrates how QUANTUM AQUA generates
groundwater predictions for a real geographic region
using all available satellite, climatic, geological, and
hydrological variables.
1. Select Region: Australia
When the user selects Australia’s region on the map, the system extracts all relevant datasets available for the region, including:
Optical (NDVI, NDWI, NDMI, SWIR, SAVI)
SAR (VV, VH, coherence, dry–wet contrast)
DEM (elevation, slope, aspect, TWI)
Geology (lithology, permeability, faults, lineaments)
Climate (rainfall, evapotranspiration, aridity index)
GRACE & GRACE-FO (TWS, anomalies, trends)
Hydrological layers (drainage, river networks)
Real geolocated wells (widely available in Australian hydrology datasets)
2. Variable Processing
All variables from the selected region are standardized and assembled into a regional feature set. No internal model mechanics are disclosed—the algorithm remains patented and protected as an industrial trade secret.
3. Prediction Generation
The quantum-inspired engine, which conceptually uses a formulation related to the time-dependent Schrödinger equation, processes the regional data and produces:
A regional groundwater prediction score
A spatial groundwater heatmap
Local confidence intervals
A simplified driver summary (non-sensitive)
4. User Output
The user sees:
A prediction layer over Australia
Zones of high or low groundwater potential
Confidence shading
Key contributing variables for that specific region
